When the
Annamaya Kosha and the
Pranamaya Kosha is cleansed or purified, automatically the
Manomaya Kosha or the sheath of mind is purified. So when the mind is purified, the
Budhhimaya Kosha or the pure consciousness is also purified.
At this stage, the 72,000 channels of the body, the seven energy centres, and the three knots are cleansed. In this stage there is no
Prana (life force) received by the body and no
Apana (negative force) is generated by the body. In this stage
there is no mind in the body, because the fuel of the mind is
Prana and
Apana.
When there is no mind, there also is no ego, when there is no ego, the Anandamaya Kosha (the bliss sheath)
is opened and the
Kundalini awakens from
Mooladhara to the
Sahasrara. At this stage, the flow of
Prana (life force) will be constant in both the nostrils (refer case files).
Ayurveda states the cure of disease by the stimulation of the Kayaagni or the digestive fire, while Tantra states the purification of the Bhootagni or the fire of the five great elements, so that when the elements are purified energy can be raised.
The physician here by the Panchakarma treatment stimulates the Bhootagni as well as the Kayaagni simultaneously resulting in spontaneous release of energy which can be used for healing as well as raising the energy.
